Vacuum Blocks VCBL-N
Clamp workpieces in nesting and grid table applications with maximum flexibility.
With the VCBL-N vacuum block, you can clamp workpieces of all kinds, from rough or textured surfaces to solid wood. With the extensive portfolio of dimensions and clamping heights, you can solve any clamping task. The suction plate can be changed quickly and without tools and is also equipped with a membrane. This protects the workpiece from direct contact with the standard touch valve and at the same time from soiling. The optional lifting system facilitates the loading and unloading of large, bulky workpieces and at the same time protects the sealing edge of the suction plate. The additional hose connection, which is included in delivery, enables a direct increase in performance for particularly demanding applications. The nesting insert, which is also included in delivery, can be removed so that the vacuum block can also be used on the grid table. This makes the VCBL-N a 2-in-1 all-rounder. Tedious switching of the vacuum block between grid and nesting applications is now a thing of the past.
Broad product range and 2-in-1 function enable maximum flexibility and therefore short set-up times
Use of one block suction cup series thanks to the 2-in-1 function for grid and nesting tables
Maximum stability even in demanding applications such as solid wood thanks to solid, one-piece design and additional vacuum connection
Simple, tool-free repair by using the proven suction plate system
Gentle loading and unloading of bulky large parts thanks to optional lifting system

Functional descriptions

From nesting table to grid table
By removing the nesting insert from the products in the Schmalz VCBL-N series, the vacuum block can be used on grid tables.

From grid table to nesting table
By inserting the nesting insert into the VCBL-R vacuum block, it can be used on nesting tables.

Tool-free adaptation to table system
The click system allows you to switch between the table systems without tools and without additional components.

Further information
Does the clamping height change if the VCBL-N is used on the grid table without the nesting insert?
Does the clamping height change if the VCBL-N is used on the grid table without the nesting insert?
Yes, removing the nesting insert reduces the clamping height by 7 mm.
What is the maximum number of vacuum blocks that can be linked together by a vacuum line?
What is the maximum number of vacuum blocks that can be linked together by a vacuum line?
To achieve a noticeable increase in performance through additional vacuum, we recommend linking no more than three vacuum blocks to one vacuum line.
What is the reason if the workpiece moves or releases during milling?
What is the reason if the workpiece moves or releases during milling?
First check the suction plate and the sealing frame of the vacuum block. If these are in good condition, check the gauge and the filter of the main pump.
Can I also clamp rough or structured workpieces?
Can I also clamp rough or structured workpieces?
This is possible with the VCSP-O MOS suction plate from the accessories.
How do I choose the correct grid dimension for my CNC machining center?
How do I choose the correct grid dimension for my CNC machining center?
The respective groove dimensions are specified in the technical data of the products.
The illustration shows how to correctly measure the grid dimension (1), the groove width (2) and the groove depth (3).
Does the additional vacuum connection have to be used?
Does the additional vacuum connection have to be used?
The vacuum blocks are designed for use without an additional vacuum connection. However, the nesting process is dependent on a large number of parameters, meaning that a safe process cannot always be ensured without an additional vacuum connection. The additional vacuum connection is therefore provided as standard and should be used for critical applications.
